(Documentary - 37 Min Duration) The Pindari Glacier is an unsurpassable and an exhilarating experience.
This glacier is situated in the Bageshwar district of Uttaranchal between snowcapped NANDA DEVI and NANDAKOT mountains and has lured mountaineers and trekkers since the last century. It owes its existence primarily to the vast quantities of snow precipitated from the Nanda Devi and other surrounding summits of the Greater Himalayan range.
The glacier terminates at an altitude of 3627 meters and the entire trekking tour route is filled to the brim with natural beauty. The Glacier is 5kms long, the snout is about 6m high and 2.5m wide and above the snout, the glacier extends for about 3km in length and 300- 400m in width, between altitudinal ranges of about 3600m to 5000m.
