The Milam Glacier (3438 Mts and upwards), is most stupendous and well known of the glaciers of Kumaon followed by Ralam and Nanda Devi base camp. The Milam glacier summit at 3872 Mts in the nodal point for a different high grade routes and peaks. The main peaks are Hardeol (7151 Mts), Burphudhura (6215 Mts) and Kalabulanddhura (6215 Mts). The base for Milam glacier is Munsiyari (2290 Mts) 308Km from Kathgodam from and 595 Kms Delhi and 127 Kms from Pithoragarh by car or by bus. Munsiyari is the centre as well as the gateway to the Johar Region.
